3 REASONS TO LAUGH TOGETHER AS A FAMILY

Some nights ago, my 9-year-old daughter Ava discovered what she calls her "mad scientist" laugh. Personally I think she looks a bit more of a witch's grunt, but she and her three sisters all say otherwise.

Do you want to know what happens every time you use this "your" Ava again?

We all ended up laughing too. It's not her (well, maybe just a little), but (mostly). And, as I have seen so many times in the past, I have this look deep belly laughs are good not only for us as individuals, but for the whole family. Yes, happy hearts that unite to laugh for real, as Proverbs 17:22 says, "good medicine."

If your family does not have a good laugh as the belly times as you wish, here are three reasons to lighten up and make a habit of laughing together.

1. LAUGHTER
Laughter - what is healthy and not at the expense of the other person - unites people. In my book, United States team, I quote M. M. Belfie said:

Something special happens when people laugh together at something very fun and not offensive to anyone. It is like a magical rain that builds the feeling of security and belonging to a group.

Although I am not sure to go personally to using the "magic rain", I have noticed that when my daughters laugh together or Ted and I have a good laugh, it draws us towards each other. It helps us lower our guard and, in the process, relieve any tension we might feel that day.

2. Laughter creates a joyful home
I recently gave Ava and her older sister Olivia's mission in English. "Why Laughing is Important" Writing a persuasive three paragraph essay It was so fun to read her finished papers with sketches Ava boring face and a sad face - The two expressions, decided that we would probably have wear and tear without laughing.

What I liked the most was the joy that the two girls laughed at. Olivia wrote that "it brings joy to you, the others, and most importantly, God." A family that laughs with him tends to have a happy home. When, returning to the appointment the Belfie family members feel they belong and are sure to be themselves.

3. Nothing creates lasting memories
Laughter not only creates a shared experience at the moment, but also creates a memory to remember and laugh again in the future. Yes, I can hear now - 10 years from now - our family is going to laugh at everyone, as we think about returning to Ava 9 year old mad scientist laugh. She is going to blush and laugh too, perhaps imitating childish pleasure spent with the good old days. Ava plays like that.

This week, laugh together as a family a priority in your home. I think you are, like me, there is always time for a good belly laugh with those you most w
